Treated Pine Decking
Our treated pine decking is high quality premium grade available in dressed all round (DAR) or 'ribbed reversable' (ribbed). It is perfect for small or large decks and many other outdoor applications. Timber decking is an old favourite when it comes to extending your living spaces and is commonly used around pools, verandah, gardens, walkways, bridges, heavy wear areas where grass does not grow and a multitude of other spaces.
Our treated pine timber decking boards are ACQ (Alkaline Copper and Quaterny) H3 treated for above ground use. This means the timber is arsenic free but still protects against fungi and termites. Our pine decking is Dry After Treatment (DAT) making it very user freindly and perfect for the DIY handyman or professional landscaper and builder.
Pine decking is a brilliant product because it looks great in its treated form or can easily be painted or stained. The decking's light weight and versatility mean it looks great in Screens, Balluster, Fencing, or other decorative projects. As a decking board it is available in 90x22 DAR or ribbed and as a screening board as a 70x19 DAR (this should not be used for decking).
As with all timber decking, it is very important that your sub floor (bearers and joists) are correctly installed to accommodate your decking. The maximum spacing on your joists centers (distance between the joists) must not exceed 450mm (18 inches). Should your spaces exceed this distance you will experience “bounce” in your deck and in some cases you may even have breakages under load.
